Christmas Card Workshop 2013

I quickly wanted to post 3 out of 5 card designs we will be making at my Christmas Card Workshop.  I wasn't going to do one this year, but a few of my sweet Hostess Club members were interested in doing one.  So...with some hesitation...I am putting some EASY and QUICK cards together.  I tend to go a little overboard when doing workshops.  They can be time consuming.  So, I thought I would do really simple cards.  Plus, I am using up old Christmas paper.  Perfect...right!?  I love using up old paper because I have way too much of it!

Thanks for stopping by!

Capture the Details of My Life

Wow!!!  What a weekend I just had!  I attended the Close To My Heart Fall Album Retreat and had the best time.  This was my first ever Corporate sponsored event.  I know....Right!!!  I have been a consultant for over 7 years and I finally took the plunge.  It is so hard to break away from my sweet family to go to these events.  I am so glad I went...just check out this GORGEOUS cover page I made!  This is just the first page...the remaining 10 double page layouts are just as beautiful.

Close To My Heart is such a family oriented company and I am so happy to be apart of that family.  It was such a pleasure to meet the Corporate staff in person...they are sweet as can be!  Thank Close To My Heart for a wonderful and meaningful weekend!

Thanks for stopping by!  See you next time.

The supply list is a mile long...if you have any questions about what I used on this layout, please contact me at gonestamping@msn.com

Caprice: Happy Birthday

Happy Tuesday!  I was playing around today with some older Close To My Heart paper.  I am so ashamed!  I have sooooo much paper!  I could open my own store.  I know...sad, right!?  I don't know if I am the only one out there that does this...but, I spend more time looking at other people's artwork and don't spend time making my own artwork!  I think I am a hoarder of paper crafting goods.  Is there a support group for that?!  I certainly could belong to one. ;)

Anyway...I found the first Freshly Made Sketch and made this cute little card.  I always need a stash of Happy Birthday cards.  Thanks for stopping by!  See you next time.

September 2013 Hostess Club Layout

Hello there!  Glad you stopped by to take a peek at my latest creation.  My hostess club meets here soon and I finally put something together.  I just got back from a long weekend of scrapbooking.  Man...was that a lot of fun and I got a lot done!!  I was on a roll and wanted to keep crafting...so I put this together.  I had a plan, when I first saw this paper called, Babycakes.  It is a baby themed paper packet.  When I saw the lettered B&T paper, I thought....this is perfect for a Back to School layout.  I happened to stumble upon Pamela O'Connor's Etsy page and saw this layout.  Perfect!!!  I don't have to think up something myself.  So....all credit for this sweet layout goes to her. ;)

I hope my club members love it as much as I do.  There are a lot of pieces to it...but they can handle it! ;)

Back To School Mini Book: Artbooking Cricut Cartridge

Hello!  Where have I been?  Oh...you know...summertime activities and well...I guess crafting without updating my blog.  Sorry for my absence! ;)  I have a CUTE Mini Book to show you.  Brought to you by the Fabulous New CTMH Artbooking Cricut Cartridge.

I am having a Home Gathering tonight with a Back To School theme.  I bunch of lovely teachers and I are getting together to make some fun crafts tonight.  I am having them make a sweet card/postcard to give to their students or another fellow teacher.  I have been prepping for a little over a week for this.  I hope they love what I have come up with.

The sweet mini book was so fun to make...plus it was a snap with the handy new cartridge!  Which, by the way, is available to purchase TODAY in the New Autumn/Winter 2013 Ideabook.  The album measures 8x8 and was made using a very retired School Zone Paper Packet.  If you have any questions regarding how or what I used for this project, please contact me.  The supply list is too long...and well, I am being a little bit lazy! ;)

Here are some other pics of the inside:

July Hostess Club Layout: Claire and Forever Friends

Yay!  I am finally back with a post for y'all!  I have been MIA for almost a month.  There is just something about summer that makes it hard to get any paper crafting done.  Busy, busy!! :)

My Hostess Clubs are meeting this upcoming weekend and I have just finished the layout.  Man....talk about procrastinating!  The NEW Close To My Heart Ideabook is coming out next month.  So excited to share new product with everyone!  But, before the new book goes live, I still have to use up some of the current ideabook's paper.  The Claire paper pack just happens to be the same as my daughters name...so I had to buy some of it and use it for my clubs.  Unfortunately, the paper pack is now retired...boo!  I am glad that my customers will be able to use some of it, if they never did buy it.  I hope they enjoy this layout. :)  I used the layout Parlor Trick from Magic™ Scrapbook Program.

#1 Dad Father's Day Card: Mojo Monday 297

What!!  I am on a Roll this week!  Partly because the weather has been rainy most of the week, so the kids and I have been hold up in the house.  Which means...more craft time! ;)

I am happy with the end result of this fun Father's Day card.  I have a lot of this It's A Guy Thing paper left over.  I love using the same paper for all of the Father's Day cards I am making.  Plus...I love using up my older paper to make room for new.

I used the Mojo Monday Sketch #297 for this card and I am also entering it in the Rose Blossom Garden Challenge Blog.  The challenge on this blog was to use the Father's Day key found on the Artiste Ciruct Cartridge.  This is my first time playing along with these challenges.  I hope to play again!

Thanks for stopping by.  See you next time.

H2H Challenge: Tool Time

I'm back!  I did actually make a Father's Day card after my last blog post.  I need to make 2 more...so guess what I will be doing shortly!  I really like how this card turned out.  I was inspired by the card on pg. 57 of the May/June Papercrafts issue.  You can also see it here.  Just scroll down a bit.

I am thinking this will be the perfect card for my wonderful Dad.  I will make one for my children to give to their Dad.  I also better whip one up for my hubby to give to his Dad....I think I will be a busy bee this afternoon!  I also decided to enter this in the H2H Challenge this week, called Tool Time.  My interpretation of this challenge is the fact that this Father's Day card is for my Dad who happens to love tools and I also used my favorite tool....the Cricut!  Works out perfectly! :)  Well...I am off to cut some more paper!  Thanks for stopping by.  See you next time.

Just a Card

I was fanning through my Pinterest board of cards and was inspired by this card here by fellow consultant, Wendy Coffman.  She is so super talented!  I visit her blog often for ideas.  I used the same Dotty for You papers, but changed them up a bit.  I also used a new stamp set called Girls Rock.  I absolutely love the flowers in this set.  I mean, really...you can always use another flower stamp set.  I think I have about 50 of them!! ;)  I hope you enjoy this fun and easy card...now on to make some Father's Day cards!  Thanks for stopping by.  See you next time.

Where Have I Been?!

Wow!  Has it almost been a month since my last post?!  I must say, it has been a super busy month.  My daughter's 6th Birthday was last weekend and I have been busy planning and organizing for that.  She had a Rainbow themed party.  Thank goodness for Pinterest.  There are a ton of ideas for Rainbow parties.  She and her friends had a Blast!  Here are just a few pictures from her party.

On to some crafty stuff.  I have been in a bit of a slump as far as paper crafting goes.  I have not spent a lot of time in my craft room nor have I had an interest in crafting.  I guess I just needed a break, but really I haven't had much time either.  But, before I felt this no crafting mojo, I made a cute little set of cards and a little purse for my Hostesses at the beginning of the month.  I thought I would post those for ya'll.  The purse was inspired by this purse by Michelle Brooks.  Thanks for stopping by!  See you next time.
