Holiday Gift for my son's Teacher

I just love making gifts for the holidays...they mean so much more coming from the heart. I got this wonderful idea from a fellow papercrafter named Melissa Phillips. I can't take full credit. I did put my personal touch and changed a few things. I really hope that Mrs. Lee enjoys this warm smelling candle {apple scent, hence the apple/teacher theme :)}.

I used several different products. The only CTMH supplies are the apple leaf from the stamp set Friendship Blessings and the small apple stamped over the phrase is from September Word Puzzle. The Olive ribbon on the card is CTMH and the Cardstock is too.

I am going up to Great Falls in a couple of weeks and will recieve the rest of the recipes. I think it will be hard for me to give it as a gift! :) I think I will keep it! I will post the final result when I get it all made up.

Be Inspired Challenge

Ah oh...I think I might be addicted to sketch challenges! :) They are actually a good thing because they make you sit down and put something together rather than admire other people's artwork. I think I spend too much time looking at other blogs instead of doing my own crafts.

Almost Everything is CTMH:
CS: Desert Sand, Ocean, Vineyard Berry
Stamps: New Fallen Snow and Christmas Scripts
Ribbon: Offray
Label is made from a diecut (Retired CTMH)
Fake brads are made with a 1/4" punch and Liquid Glass on top.
B&T paper: Just Chillin'
This challenge was again on Beate's Blog

Lemon Crumb Bars....MMmmmmm

As promised...the yummy recipe for the Lemon Crumb Bars I served at my Hostess Club last night. ENJOY!

1 package (18-1/4oz) Lemon cake mix

1/2 cup cold butter

1 egg

2 cups crushed saltine crackers (approx. 50 crackers)

3 egg yolks

1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk

1/2 cup lemon juice

In a large mixing bowl, beat cake mix, butter and egg until crumbly. Stir in cracker crumbs; set aside 2 cups of the mixture for topping. Press remaining crumb mixture into a 13-in. x 9-in. x 2-in. baking dish coated with nonstick cooking spray. Bake at 350 degrees for 18-20 minutes or until edges are lightly browned.

In a small mixing bowl, beat the egg yolks, milk, and lemon juice. Pour over crust; sprinkle with reserved crumb mixture. Bake 20-25 minutes longer or until edges are lightly browned. Cool on a wire rack. Cut into bars. Store in the refrigerator. Yield: 2 dozen.

How Enchanting

This year I have been making up little gifts for my Hostesses. I have 2 Hostess Clubs that meet often and this is the gift for one of the hostesses. I kept with the theme of the project we are making. The previous post of the Halloween layout coordinates with the gift. I enjoy meeting with my groups and I want to reward them with special crafts. :)

Stamps are all CTMH
B&T Papre is from Enchanted Paper Pack: CTMH

Plant Some Smiles! September SOTM

I don't know, but I think that this is a stamp set that every stamper must have! It is just beautiful and the sayings are very inpirational. I used all CTMH product except the box is paper mache. You can pick these up at most craft stores. I wish my camera would pick up more of the detail, but some of the flowers are up on pop dots and there is prisma glitter on the trio of flowers. If you click on the picture, you can view it up closer. Thanks for taking a peek! :) The card on the left was a "lift" from fellow consultant Pam Klassen.

Happy Haunting

Normally I don't put my club projects on here before we meet, but I couldn't resist! I love how this layout turned out. Everything is CTMH except for the buttons. I did use my Cricut to cut out the title and the flourishes. This layout puts me in a fall/halloween mood...the weather here in Montana sure feels like it is right around the corner. Thanks for looking! :)

The paper packet is called 'Life's Delights'. I also used the stamp set 'Playful Flourishes'. The little buttons always add more dimension and fun to pages. TFL

Happy Everything!

This Stamp set is so fun! I love all the variations and possibilities it has. If you don't have this set, you should! It is call 'With Love' and it is the June SOTM for CTMH.

I am on a ROLL!

I completely cased this card from fellow consultant Lisa Stenz, but I did change the colors. I used 'With Love' June SOTM and colors: Garden Green, Indian Corn Blue, Chocolate and Colonial White.

Made some new Cards....FINALLY!

It has been quite awhile since I have had a chance to sit down and make some cards. This first one is with 'Life's A Jungle' stamp set and 'Rustic Trail' papers (CTMH product) and I used my Cuttlebug to make the circle background.

This next card is a fun one. I used 'Summer Sweetness' and 'Creaive Basics: Boom Di Ada' paper (CTMH product). It is hard to see, but I pop-dotted up the watermelon and used Liquid Glass on the black seeds.

This final card I made reminds me of Cherry Blossoms. I scraplifted the design of this idea, but made it my own. I didn't use any stamps, I used my Cuttlebug to make the embossed image and then sanded it. The papers are from 'More To Adore' (CTMH product) and I used 'Stickles' on the center of the flowers.
