H2H Photo Inspired Challenge

Two posts in one day?!  Crazy!  I have been a busy girl in my scrap room!!  This card is for the H2H Challenge this week.

Now...this is NOT my usual type of card.  I don't make such eclectic type cards, but when you have an inspiration photo...you take pieces from it and make something that you might not make normally.

See the inspiration photo below.  I had a good time with this one.  I pulled the background colors, tags, clear shapes, the butterfly and the leafy branch to make my card.  Interesting, huh!?  It seems to work.

Thanks for stopping by and please leave a comment and tell me what you think. :)

All supplies are CTMH unless otherwise noted:  Papers:  Sarsaparilla Level 2 (retired); Cardstock:  Colonial White, Barn Red, Black, Desert Sand, Kraft, and Twilight;  Ink:  Black and Twilight;  Stamp sets:  C 1307 Western Flourishes (retired) and S1109 Limited Edition (September 2011 Stamp of the Month);  Accessories:  Z819 Circle Window Charms (retired), Black brads, Hemp (unknown source);  Tools:  AP Cricut Cartridge, corner rounder, needle tool, sand paper and sponge dauber.

Happy Birthday to You!

Adding another card to my birthday card stash.  You can never have enough birthday cards laying around! ;)  I pretty much cased this card from a card I had saved to my computer.  I didn't have a name to credit this card to.  So...whoever made a card similar to this one...Thank you for the inspiration!  I did change a few things, as I didn't have everything to make an exact replica.  It is very cheery and will make someone happy, I hope!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you keep on visiting! :)

H2H Color Challenge Plus

Hi there!  I am back for another round of H2H Challenges!  This week on the H2H blog, the theme is to make some art using the colors Crystal Blue and Amethyst.  The paper pack Wonderland in the Autumn/Winter 2011 Idea Book does use these colors together.  I thought...that would be easy, just use that paper.  But....then I was thinking that would be too obvious.  I must use up OLD paper, right!?  I dug through my massive stash and came across the Notebook paper pack using Cyrstal Blue.  Voila!  This will work!  I know the card is simple, but for some reason it took me FOREVER to finish this card.  Go figure!  The challenge was to use some sparkle or bling, if you so choose.  I squeezed a little Glitz on the flowers and done!

Hope you like!  See you next time. :)

Sending You...Love

Hello!!  Long time no see!  I was hoping to say more up to date with my blog, but I have been busy doing other things rather that posting and making projects.

Valentine's Day is on it's way, so I am making some fun projects for the holiday.  My hubby is sadly not going to be here for Valentine's, so I am sending him some lovely goodies.  Including this little number.  I had a different one in mind, but this card says, SENDING, so it has to be sent not hand delivered, right?!

The card was inspired by two different challenges.  Mojo Monday and Heart 2 Heart Challenge blog.  The challenge on H2H was to use an un-inked stamp or set.  This was last weeks challenge.  I bought the Joyful Jar stamp not that long ago because it is so cute!  So many possible cards with this one.

Thanks for stopping by!

January Hostess Club Layout

Okay...I had good intentions of posting more last month after my 12 Days of Christmas posts, but I had a hard time keeping up with all the holiday activities to make it into my scrapbook room to create.  Oh well, it is a New Year and I am soooo glad that it is 2012.  My hubby will be home in about 2 1/2 months.  I CANNOT WAIT!!!

It is time again for my next Hostess Club.  This is the layout we will be making.  We have been having a dry spell here where I live.  Usually we have some snow on the ground.  I wanted to make a layout that is reminiscent of the weather we have this time of year, but it was hard to get in the mood when the weather is not snowy.  I used the Magic How-To Program Book from CTMH.  The layout is called Spellbound, found on pages 50-51.

Thanks for stopping by!
