Baby Girl Card

I haven't posted in awhile. I really don't keep up with my blog, do I?!! I have the best intentions, but life always gets a little too busy.

I am going to a baby shower this weekend and I whipped up this little card for the Mother-to-be. She has 2 boys and now is expecting a little girl. So excited for her!

I happened to stubble on a card made by Dawn McVey and the papers I chose happened to corrdinate with a color challenge she had posted on her blog. So I lifted the idea for this card and played along with the challenge. Hope you enjoy.

Supplies:

Patterned paper is some dollar store paper I had in my stash forever! I used some brown Bazzil paper and my Cricut to make the word baby. Cricut cartridge Making the Grade. The button is CTMH and the chocolate ric-rac is also CTMH.

Teacher Appreciation Week-Dry Erase Board and Notebook

Teachers are a very important part of our life and the lives of our children. They don't get enough credit for what they do. I am so glad that there is a week dedicated to those great and inspiring teachers out there.

I wanted my son's kindergarten teacher know how wonderful she is by making her a handmade gift. I am pretty sure she will appreciate something made by hand and not just something bought from a store. The dry erase board was inspired by another CTMH consulant. Unfortunately, I did not save her name with her artwork.

All supplies are CTMH unless otherwise noted:
Colors are Twilight, Orchid Bouqet (retired), Garden Green, Desert Sand, Bamboo; Floral Tapestry Level 2 paper pack; Treetop stamp set; Rustic Alphabet stamp set; Twilight ribbon, Garden Green ribbon; pink ribbon (Offray); clear sparkles; Creamcoat white Acrylic paint (Delta); garden green reinker

National Scrapbooking Month

For most of April and all of May, CTMH has an awesome special called Tickled Pink. It's a darling scrapbooking kit that includes the new D-size My Acrylix® I Am stamp set, textured cardstock, B&T Duos™ paper (2 with glitter!), Mini-Medley Accents White Daisy collection, a foam texture tool, and an instruction brochure for creating two beautiful two-page layouts.

I decided not to use the layouts in the brochure and made something completely different. I used a layout out of Cherish called Dramatic Fashion.

All supplies are CTMH unless otherwise noted:
Colors: Blush, Crystal Blue, Sweet Leaf, White Daisy, Black; Tickled Pink papers (April/May CTMH Special); Tickled Pink stamp set; Mini-Medley Accents; pop-dots; sand paper for distressing

Happy New Year!

Are you as excited as I am about the NEW Idea Book for Close to My Heart?! Isn't the cover just adorable? I am definitely going to have to "scraplift" this one for my children's albums. If you would like a copy of this wonderful book, send my an email at gonestamping@msn.com and I will send one out to you!

I hope everyone has a year full of health and happiness and I look forward to seeing you in the New Year!

Here is a little something I put together showing off the January Stamp of the Month. It's called Moments in Time. I got this idea from fellow CTMH consultant, K. Brown. Click on the picture to get a better look.
