Tag! You're it! Heart2Heart Challenge

I took a few days off of posting because I had some friends come over this weekend for some fun scrapbooking time.  I got some pages done, but I am such a slow scrapbooker...I think I talk more than a get anything done!

I decided to make my card for the H2H Challenge this last week.  The theme is artwork with tags.  I was thinking...I better add some new paper to this challenge.  This paper is from the Claire Paper Packet.  I wasn't too excited about the colors in this pack, but it is growing on me.  Plus, the paper packet is the same name as my sweet daughter.  I knew I had to have the paper. :)

I hope you enjoy this fun card.  Thanks for stopping by.  See you next time!

Mojo Monday 281: Rosette Happy Birthday

Popping in for a quick post of my latest Mojo Monday card.  This is sketch #281.  A really simple card that was not quick to make.  I cut the rosettes out with my Artiste Cricut Cartridge, but they take some time to assemble.  Especially when you are making three of them.  I feel like the card is missing something in the top left corner, but can't seem to figure out what to do with it.  Hmmmm...I guess I will just leave it be for now.  Thanks for stopping by!  See you next time. :)

A little bit Country Birthday Card

Hello there, y'all!  Okay...I really don't have a southern accent, but this card just brings it out in me.  This card was a easy and quick one to make.  Simple and fun!  I had some left over Sarsaparilla paper from way back in 2008.  It coordinates well with the newer Dakota paper that is still available to order.  I was inspired by this card here.

Remember that snow I was talking about yesterday?  Well....pretty much melted!  I guess I will have to stay indoors and papercraft...darn it anyway! ;)

Thanks for stopping by and I will see you next time!

Topstitch: Friends are the flowers of Life

Happy Friday!  The weekend is here and also this next week the kids have a Monday and Tuesday off from school.  Hmmmm....what to do to keep them occupied?  We just got a few inches of new snow...I think some sledding is in the future. :)

I decided to use up some older paper and make a 3-D type flower.  I cut out seven 2" circles with my Cricut and carefully folded them loosely.  I hot glued them down on a circle.  Here is a different view of the flower.

I hope you enjoy this simple and fun card.  Have a wonderful weekend!  Thanks for stopping by. :)

H2H Challenge: Love is in the Air

Hello there!  I hope all of you are having a good start to your week.  I had a crazy evening last night...my 3 year-old put a small bead up his nose, which sent us to the emergency room!  Thank goodness my neighbor came to the rescue...he was the ER doctor on call last night.  Wow!  What a night!  Later, I will look back on this and laugh. :)

This morning I went to the H2H Challenge blog to see what they are up to this week.  The theme is Love is in the Air.  Well...I happen to have an old stamp set that worked perfectly for this challenge.  I know with Valentine's Day coming up, your first thoughts would be to make a Valentine card.  I thought, why not make a card that can be used on any day you are feeling the Love. :)  I even broke out the New papers, Chantilly for this occasion.  I hope you enjoy this card.  Thanks for stopping by.  See you next time!

H2H Home Decor Challenge

This banner was a long time coming.  Back in January 2011, Close To My Heart introduced these chipboard banners.  They have since retired (you know me...I seem to use mainly retired items!).  It was difficult to take a picture of this because it spans about 4 feet!  I made it a couple of weeks ago and was really excited this morning when I saw the challenge this week on the H2H blog.  Perfect timing!  I used an old paper pack called More To Adore and many accessories that coordinated with it.  It is hard to see, but the banner says Be Mine.  I hope you enjoy this home decor project I made.  Thanks for stopping by!  See you next time.

Celebrate You!

I really like how this little card turned out.  I love all the colors...bold and bright.  I saw this card here and thought it was a great way to use up old paper.  Trust me...I have A TON of old paper.  I am one of those hoarder types.  I want to use up all the paper I have so that I can buy more, but it seems like I just keep buying more that piles on top of the old.  I need to get busy scrapbooking.  I think if I scrapbooked more, I would use up the paper faster.  I better get on it! ;)

I hope you enjoy this card and that it inspires you to use up all those scraps of lovely papers.  Thanks for stopping by!  See you next time.

Countdown to Valentine's Day

A fellow consultant, Lori Miller, is having a Countdown to Valentine's Day.  I thought I would participate today.  I am not sure I will do all 14 days, but I think it is a fun idea. :)  I saw this card here and wanted to make my own version of it.  I stamped the striped heart on to a piece of cardstock, cut it out, then placed it on the edge of the card and traced it.  I then cut out the traced image.  I am sure there is a better way to do this, but it worked for me.  I think this card took me a total of 15 minutes to make.  That might just be a record for me! ;)

Thanks for stopping by!  See you next time. :)
