A combo challenge. Both of these challenges fit well together, so why not combine them?! At the H2H Blog, the challenge this week is Sentiment-ally yours. The only stamp you can use is a sentiment stamp. I used the a simple Birthday sentiment with another one on the inside of the card saying..."and many, many more." The other challenge is from the Mojo Monday blog. You can choose between either a circle or square card. I was feeling more in a square-like mood. Cutting a circle card can be more difficult, depending on your tools you have on hand. I usually have a card made and a picture taken in the daytime for better photo lighting, but I finished this up a little late. I soooo need a better camera and a light box to take pictures of my work. Someday.... Well, I hope you all like this one. Thanks for stopping by.

Tuesday Trigger: Delightfully Random
This is my first time participating in Moxie Fab World Tuesday Trigger. When I saw the inspiration photo, I thought, I could come up with something. Although...I struggled with this one. I am not completely happy with this card, but it isn't bad. Ah well. I am sure whoever ends up with this birthday card will like it, I hope! ;)

H2H Challenge: Only Cardstock
Another H2H Challenge! This one was a breeze to make. It only took me about 10 minutes to complete. I had some inspiration, so that is some of the reason it was a snap to put together. Check out this card here, for the comparison. Julie made a very pretty card! Using only cardstock and no pattern paper was super fun. Another birthday card to put in my stash.

Holiday Cheer
It's that time of year to start making Christmas cards. I know some people start earlier, but right now is a good time to start for me.
I love participating in challenges and H2H has a fun one that they posted last Monday. Use Diecuts. Close To My Heart has a new and FABULOUS product that just came out in the new Idea Book. It's the Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge. I have been using it non-stop on all of my projects lately. It is definitely a MUST HAVE!!
I had a fun time making this little card. I lifted it from some artwork in the new Idea Book on page 51. I didn't have the same stamp set, but something similar.
All supplies are CTMH unless otherwise noted: Paper: Believe Level 2; Cardstock: Colonial White and Desert Sand; Ink: Holiday Red, Olive, and Desert Sand; Stamp sets: C1427 I Believe (snowflakes) and C1481 (stamp set only available through the Believe Workshops on the Go); Accessories: Olive grosgrain ribbon and red sparkles; Tools: Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge, pop dots, blender pen, sand paper, and sponge dauber.

Heart 2 Heart Challenge: Favorite Color Combo
The challenge over at H2H is to choose your favorite color combo. My favorite color combo has been pink and brown for awhile. It is hard to choose your favorite with all of the awesome colors that Close To My Heart offers, but I do love a good pink and brown combo.
This particular patterned paper comes from an old pack called More To Adore. I love this paper!
I love visiting Aaron Brown's blog. She posts something new almost everyday. She is a very talented paper crafter. This project is inspired by her post here. It is a very simple and easy project. I plan on making a few more of these 4x4 cards and giving them as a gift to my son's teacher.
All supplies are CTMH unless otherwise noted: Paper: More To Adore Level 2 (retired); Cardstock: Colonial White, Chocolate, Hollyhock; Ink: Chocolate, Hollyhock, Blush, Sweet Leaf, Creme Brulee, and Grey Flannel; Stamps: CC1014 Constant Campaign stamp set (bicycle) and D1361 Thank You; Accessories: Pink lace (Wrights brand), Hollyhock stitched ribbon, paper bag (Walmart); Tools: Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge (scallop ovals), sand paper, pop dots, blending pen.

Mojo Monday 206
I have been a little slower on getting some of the sketches I love to do done, but with my sweet husband home for 2 week leave, I wanted to spend all of my time with him and the kids. Sadly, the two weeks came to an end. I miss him soooo much!! I wish that his deployment wasn't so long. Having him home and then seeing him go was so hard! It is such a tease for the military to let them come home for such a short time. They should shorten the deployment time so you just look forward to having them home for good instead of teasing with such a short time at home. We did enjoy ourselves though. We built a new home this past November and I moved in this May. My husband left for his deployment in April, so he never did get to stay in his new house until he arrived on leave. We spent a lot of time getting the house in order for the winter. Unpacking boxes and cleaning out our MESSY garage. I know...doesn't sound like a lot of fun when you come home on leave, but he and I enjoyed working together. We hiked, fished, swam, and spent many fun times with friends and family. When you have to be away from each other, you really know what is important....FAMILY!
Anyway....enough of my ramblings. It is just nice to write this all down for myself. I finally finished my Mojo Monday sketch for this week. I started this card a couple of days ago, but just couldn't finish it until today. I also played along with the Heart 2 Heart Challenge. The challenge this time was a color challenge. The colors are Sorbet, Pear and Cocoa. I hope you all like it!

Season of Change
I hate to say it, but I can feel that feeling of fall in the air. I love fall, but it means that summer is over and winter is on its way. It is a reality that we all face and I am hoping that this fall and winter move in and out quickly. I want to snap my fingers and make next year come and it could be spring. Normally, I don't wish time to pass, but without my husband here to enjoy the holidays and being at home with his family, I just want to skip over to 6 months from now.
Okay...I hate being so negative! What do you think of this card? I cased it from Dawn McVey and finally had a moment to post it. The card is the 3rd one down on her post.
